Cargobike Riese & Müller Carrie - Vario Version

The Carrie cargobike, from Riese & Müller, is the latest in high-end compact cargo bikes for multipurpose use. The little sister of other R&M models such as the Transporter, the Load and the Packster.

Compact, robust in appearance (and not just appearance) and simple in lines, the Carrie continues the product philosophy of the German manufacturer: reliable, sustainable, safe mobility and with the lowest possible maintenance.

And what's more, from the beginning it has been designed with sustainability in mind.

Its format is a compact Long John, with a length only slightly longer than that of a conventional bicycle (2.09 meters). However, it is very narrow and has a surprising load capacity.

All its accessories can be quickly and easily adapted for daily use, even retrofitted. This makes the Carrie ideal for someone who has little storage space but lots of transportation needs, and is looking for a flexible solution.

It is available with two box variants: the Basis Box (default) and the Flex Box.

The Basis Box has interior dimensions of approximately 30x45 cm, giving it enough space for a 30x40 cm eurobox. And with an external width of 43 cm, it is very narrow.

The Basis Box is made of polypropylene and is very robust.

Its optional cargo box has an internal volume of up to 90 liters and can be used to make purchases. Alternatively, it can also be screwed to the Basis Box.

The optional Flex Box significantly increases the cargo area and can be opened and closed. When open, it has space for larger items or up to two children.

And when closed, the Carrie fits into even the tightest of spaces.

The Flex Box is an extension to the Basis Box, so it can be mounted later if your needs change. It is made of expanded polypropylene (the same as the Packster 70, and is 100% recyclable) and is reinforced with steel rods.

When the box is opened, it practically doubles the size of the Basis Box and offers plenty of space for all kinds of objects, such as a small and a large Eurobox.

When closed, the external width of the Flex Box is reduced to 46 cm, while maintaining enough height to transport a 30x40 cm Eurobox. The contents of the box are protected by a padlock.
